Satellite Dishes
If you want to put up a satellite dish or TV aerial, or have cable installed, you will need to gain permission from Salix Homes.
If you live in a house or bungalow, we will normally give permission to erect TV aerials and satellite dishes though this will depend upon a number of conditions these may include;
- The reception equipment must be less than 70cm in diameter.
- The equipment must be fixed on the side or rear of the property and mounted below the eaves.
- The equipment must be either transparent or mesh.
If you live in a high-rise apartment, you will not be allowed to install any TV reception equipment, as there is already a communal TV reception system within all our high-rise apartment blocks.
Additionally, you'll need to ensure that any work is carried out to a good standard and by a reputable contractor that is a member of the Confederation of Aerial Industries (CAI).
Its worth remembering that if you leave and want to take your equipment with you, you'll have to put back any original fixtures and fittings and repair any damage caused by removing the equipment.
