Keep Warm, Keep Well this winter

This winter is predicted to be colder than last year and a cold home will have a significant impact on your health and wellbeing. It is vital therefore that you look after yourself this winter and stay warm and well during the cold winter months.
The government have produced a useful Keep Warm Keep Well information leaflet for people aged over 60. This gives lots of information and tips on:
- How you can get financial help with your energy bills,
- How you can save energy and money
- How you can stay well and healthy

Did you know?
- If you are aged over 60 you could be eligable for a Winter Fuel Payment of up to £250 and up to £400 if you are aged 80 or over.
- If you own or rent your home privately and currently receiving income or disability related benefit you may be eligble for a Warm Front grant to help insulate your home.
- Some energy suppliers offer reduced or 'social' tariffs to customers with disabilities or long-term health conditions. Customers over 70 or living on low income can apply.
