Money Saving Roadshow rolls into town!
The Salix Homes and Salford City Council Money Saving Roadshow has been rolling into venues across Central Salford to help you save money and maximise your income.
Residents have been getting advice on maximising their benefits, how to make homes more energy efficient, savings and getting into education or work.
So far more than 200 people have taken part in the Money Saving Roadshow with eight lucky residents winning high street vouchers from £25 - £150.
More than half the residents surveyed requested to be referred to at least one support agency. Some residents were also delighted to discover that were eligible for benefits they didn't know they were entitled to.
One in four people filling in our questionnaire do not have a basic bank account, 6 out of 10 people have no savings or home insurance.
