Gas safety is our top priority

All our properties now have a gas safety certificate! A big thank you to all of our customers for helping us to reach this fantastic target.

In order to help us gain access to all homes, we took legal action to force access to over 100 properties during 2009. This resulted in at least 3 illegal cannabis farms being identified and closed down, numerous empty properties and absconds and 1 social services referral for suspected child neglect.

Customers who refuse to allow reasonable access to their homes cost us over £70,000 a year in legal costs, which I am sure you will agree can be used in much more positive ways. In order to reduce these costs, we now have an initiative to reward our customers who allow first time access by entering their details into a monthly draw to win £50!

Customers who do not allow reasonable access to carry out gas safety checks that result in forced access being made, will be charged the full costs of this action, which is in the region of £500.
