Nursery Street planting day

In May 09 Salix Homes were pleased to help residents from Nursery Street in Pendleton plant their hanging baskets in time for the summer.

The sun came out as staff, residents and children worked together to brighten up the estate with a selection of hanging baskets and tubs.

Our 'Rapid Response' team supported the WIN Day by cleaning up all rubbish and old planters. As shown in the pictures below Nursery Street is looking fantastic and is a true credit to the residents and Salix Staff who worked hard on the day.

After the WIN day we used our Neighbourhood Day with an afternoon dedicated to litter picking and a sweep and clean of Nursery Street. Altogether 10 bags of rubbish was removed and one garden was cleaned up for a new tenant who had cut back the overgrown garden but needed a hand removing the waste. Well done to all those involved on the WIN Day and we look forward to watching the plants flourish for many months to come.
