Community room re-vamp for Peach Tree Court!

There was some great news for Peach Tree Court in January as the Tenants Association was awarded £1,500 for the refurbishment of their community room from the Community Foundation.
A total of five volunteers helped to re-decorate the bingo room, main committee room and hallway. The money was put to very good use with the purchase of new tables and chairs, a new cooker, and new carpets fitted throughout!
There was a great turn out for the launch night, which took place on Tuesday 2 March 2010.
The Association currently covers 96 flats but in April 2010 they will merge with neighbours Pear Tree Court. Without this grant they would not have been able to do this, and the new facilities will be a great resource for the new group which will cover 192 properties in total!
