Service Charges
As a Leaseholder, you will have to pay a service charge. This is to cover the cost of work the council or Salix Homes have to carry out on your behalf. The Service Charge covers the following work:
1. Repairs to the exterior of your building
2. Services including cleaning and garden maintenance
3. Buildings Insurance
4. Management - the cost of the management of your building by the Council and Salix Homes, this includes:
- The administration cost of sending out service charge invoices
- The administration cost of repairs to the building
- The technical support to ensure repairs take place
- The cost of administering service charges
Paying your service charges
There are lots of ways to pay your service charge. These are listed on the back of your invoice which you will get in March each year. These include
By Direct Debit
Make your payment monthly or quarterly by Direct Debit on a day that suits you. To arrange this, call Salix Direct on 0800 218 2000.
Online
Make a quick and easy payment online. The payments are fully secure for your protection. Please note the link will direct you to Salford City Council's online payment site.
By post
Make your cheque or postal order payable to ‘Salford City Council' and send it directly to the council or to Salix Homes. Make sure you write your name, address and invoice number clearly on the back.
By phone
Simply call Salix Direct on 0800 218 2000 and make your payment by credit or debit card. Make sure you have your invoice number handy when you call.
