Part of our vision is 'to become an excellent organisation that delivers quality homes and services'. We hope that in becoming an excellent organisation this is recognised by both our customers, colleagues, partners and peers.

Since launching in July 2007, here are a few of ways this has been recognised:

TPAS Quality Mark logo

TPAS Quality Mark Accreditation
(Awarded February 2010)

The TPAS Resident Involvement Quality Standard recognises the approach to involving our customers in service development, delivery and improvement.

Salix Homes are the first organisation in the North West to achieve this award which secures our reputation of putting customers at the heart of everything we do.

Housemark ASB accrediation logo

Housemark ASB Accreditation
(Awarded January 2010)
The Housemark ASB accreditation is awarded by Housemark and the Social Landlords Crime and Nuisance Group. We are one of the first organisations of our kind to be awarded the award for recognising the effects ASB can have on our community and for how we are tackling the causes.

The assessors were particularly impressed with our 1st Response service which allows customers to report anti-social 24 hours a day. They also commended the partnership working of our Ordsall and Langworthy Clean, Green Safe Co-located team.

Keep Britain Tidy: Cleaner, Safer Greener Neighbourhoods logo

Keep Britain Tidy: Cleaner Safer Greener Neighbourhood Quality Mark
(Awarded January 2010)
Cleaner Safer Greener Quality Mark recognises housing providers cleaner, safer, greener achievements at a national level. It is the first of its kind in the country and is an effective partnership tool for housing providers who want to lead the way in environmental issues and build better neighbourhoods for their tenants and residents.

We were awarded the Quality Mark Accreditation in January for our Ordsall and Langworthy Neighbourhoods at the ‘performer' level. The assessors were particularly impressed with the level of partnership working and the Co-location Team that is clearly achieving results and improving our neighbourhoods. They were also very impressed by the commitment and dedication of our staff working in the neighbourhood teams.

Equality Framework for Local Government Achieving logo

Equality Framework for Local Government
(Awarded January 2010)

The Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) recommended ‘Achieving' status against the Equality Framework for Local Government.

We are one of the first Housing ALMO's to be assessed against this new criteria and our assessors were very impressed, particularly with our approach to transforming neighbourhoods, leadership, partnership and our organisational commitment.

Customer Service Excellence Accreditation
(Awarded October 2009)
The Customer Service Excellence standard is a Government stantard which tests in great depth areas that research has indicated are a priority for customers, with particular focus on delivery, timeliness, information, professionalism and staff attitude. There is also emphasis placed on developing customer insight, understanding the user's experience and robust measurement of service satisfaction.

Young Learner and Employer of the Year 2008
Awarded by employment organisation Connexions, for our outstanding support and commitment to the Young Apprentice scheme. This includes providing time for training, extra allowances, attending all NVQ meetings and giving apprentices the experience of moving around different teams.

Promoting Equality of Opportunity Employer of the Year 2008
Awarded by the Greater Manchester Employer Coalition, we beat off stiff competition from the BBC and Marriott. The award recognised our commitment to providing equal opportunities to staff and tackling a wide range of diversity issues in the workplace. Click here to view the press release.

Two Tick Disability Accreditation

Two Tick Disability Symbol
We are recognised for our commitment to best practice in employing people with disabilities. The 2 Tick Disability Symbol aims to ensure that people with disabilities feel confident that their employer (or potential employer) will be positive about their abilities.
Board Member of the Year 2008- 'Highly Commended'Deputy Chair of Salix Homes, John Cox was 'highly commended' at the National Federation of ALMOs' (NFA) Annual Awards ceremony in the Board Member of the Year category. The commendation recognises John's role in helping to establish a customer focussed culture in Salix Homes, known as the Salix Way.
IIP Investor In People (IIP) (Awarded 2009)
The award recognises our commitment to providing training opportunities for our staff.
Training Journal Conference & Awards (2009)
Salix Homes was shortlisted for the Training Journal Award 2009 for Change Management Programme of the year.
