Your Health

As an employee your health and wellbeing is extremely important to us.

We provide a range of support services:

  • Physiotherapy Service – As required.
  • Counselling Service - This Service provides confidential access to an independent counsellor via a free phone number.
  • Occupational Health Service – available to all staff by referral.
  • Medical appointment - paid time off up to 2 hours.
  • Eye care scheme – If you need glasses for VDU use, you may receive a financial contribution towards the cost of the glasses.

Your Family

We recognise that it can be difficult to find the job you want that matches your work-life needs.  Therefore we make every possible effort to work with our employees so that they can meet their personal responsibilities whilst continuing to make a valued contribution. Policies we have introduced to help us achieve this are:

  • Flexi-time – one of the most popular benefits! Our full time working week is 36 hours and if the post is eligible for flexible working you can work these hours anytime between 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday. In addition, if you work more hours than required you can take up to two flexi days in each 4 week period, subject to line manager approval.
  • Job share – All of our posts, unless otherwise stated, are available as job share posts.
  • Maternity Leave – Our employees can take up to 52 weeks off as maternity leave of which 26 weeks will be paid.
  • Paternity Leave – Our employees can take 2 weeks paid paternity leave.
  • Reduced Working Hours Policy – Should your personal circumstances alter you may wish to temporarily work shorter hours, this policy enables you to request this, subject to management authorisation.
