Give your ambitions a boost!

- Maybe you’re an apprentice who’s after some new tools for the trade?
- Perhaps your youth club is in desperate need of some new equipment?

Whatever the cause, if it’s helping young people in Salford, then you're welcome to apply.

Our Boost4Youth fund offers grants of up to £500 towards initiatives that help people aged between 11 and 24 who live in a Salix Homes neighbourhood. We have a funding pot of £10,000 available each year.

Individual young people are invited to apply for funding, if their aim or project addresses one or more of the following themes:

  • training
  • education
  • employment
  • community issues
  • improving the environment

The maximum grant available is £500.

Please note, ‘core’ running costs or personal items will not be funded.

As funding is limited, unfortunately not all applications will be successful.

As well as addressing the themes above, applications must meet the following criteria:

  • individuals should be aged between 11 and 24 years and live in a Salix Homes neighbourhood.
  • individuals can only apply for funding once a year. Further applications in subsequent years will be considered but are not guaranteed.
  • monitoring information must be submitted to Salix Homes, including copies of receipts and expenditure relating to the project where applicable.
  • successful applicants must complete and return an evaluation form and provide a progress and feedback report, which may include interviews with Salix Homes.
  • Salix Homes and the Salford Foundation must be recognised as a funder in any literature relating to the projects.

Colleagues from the Salix Homes Community Engagement team will review applications.

We will notify applicants of the outcome by post.

Salix Homes will manage all funding, which will be made directly to the college, employer, supplier, organisation etc.

No funds are made directly to applicants.
