Meet the Board

Here we introduce you to the members of the Board;

Customer Board Members

	Graham Worrall Graham is a *Customer Board Member* and lives in the Pendleton PFI area of Central Salford. Graham is a Member of the Customer and Neighbourhood Committee and is particuarly interested in Regeneration of the area's and also has interest's in Green and Environmental issues, besides customer involvement and working with local tenants and residents groups. Graham is the Secretary for Beech Court Tenants and Residents Assocation and also the Co-Ordinator for the Pendleton Homewatch Scheme/No Cold Calling Scheme and is also an active memeber of The Pendleton Cracked Pots which look's after the community garden and space around where he lives
	Tessa Armstead Fairweather Tessa is a Customer Board Member and lives in Irwell Riverside off Blackfriars. She is a Member of the Audit and Resources Committee and is particuarly interested in environmental issues and sustainable technologies. She lived for 30 years in a developing country and has worked with refugee and minority groups. She works part time as a Civil Servant, volunteers with the Red Cross and is a member of the Vertical Villages TARA.
	Hessel de Boer Hessel is a *Customer Board Member* and lives in Islington off Chapel Street, Salford. Hessel is a member of our Customer and Neighbourhoods Committee. Hessel devotes all his time in voluntarily capacities to make neighbourhoods more sustainable, and studies for a Foundation Degree Sustainable Communities at The University of Salford. He highly believes in the use of renewable technologies and decent homes need decent green spaces to fight climate change. Hessel is originally from Amsterdam, Holland, but he has lived in England since 1993, and moved to The Islington Estate in 2007 where he got involved with regeneration and became Chair of TIETARA - The Islington Estate Tenants And Residents Association.
	Mike Copple Mike is a *Customer Board Member* and lives in Higher Broughton. Mike is Deputy Chair of the Board and a Member of the Audit and Resources Committee. A former Borough and County Councillor, Mike is particularly interested in housing issues and the interests of older people. Mike is also the Chair of Broomedge Tenants and Residents Association.

Independent Board Members

	Bill Gill Bill is an *Independent Board Member* and is a Director of an Internal Audit and Consultancy Company. Bill is Chair of our Audit and Resources Committee. Bill has had many roles in housing over recent years and has previously worked for Deloitte's and Mitchell Charlesworth Chartered Accountants.
	Peter Styche (OBE) - Chair Peter is an *Independent Board Member* and is Chair of the Board. Peter is also a Member of our Audit and Resources Committee. Peter has considerable housing and regeneration experience and recently retired from the Government Office North West where he was Director of Spatial Planning and Housing. Peter is a member of the North West Housing Forum Executive.
	Ade Alao Ade is an *Independent Board Member* and works for Tameside Council in Regeneration. Ade is a Member of our Customer Performance Panel. As well as considerable regeneration experience, Ade has been a Chair of an ALMO in Greater Manchester, Northwards Housing.
	Steve Wood Steve is Liverpool Housing Trust's Director of Finance and Performance. He is the former Director of Business Services of Northwards Housing and Director (Finance Services) for HQN consultants. He brings business planning, value for money and financial management expertise to the board as well as knowledge on a variety of housing finance related matters.

Council Nominees

Peter Connor

Peter is a Council nominated Board Member and is a Councillor for the Ordsall Ward. Peter is also Assistant Mayor for Adult Services and Services for Older People.

Joe Murphy

Joe is a Council nominated Board Member and is a Councillor for the Claremont Ward. Joe is also a member of various of the Council's Committees.

Co-opted Members

In addition to our Board Members, there are also a number of Co-opted Members who support the work of our Committee's. Co-opted Members have particular skills, knowledge and experience that help the Committee's in decision making and developing the work areas they are responsible for.
