Meet the Board

John Cox - Deputy Chair

John is a Customer Board Member and lives in Lower Broughton. John is the Deputy Chair of the Board, Chair of the Performance Committee and the Board Champion for Inspection Preparation. John was a finalist for Board Member of the Year at the 2008 National Federation of ALMO's awards ceremony. In addition to his experience as a tenant in Salford, John has considerable experience of social housing having previously worked for Manchester City Council and the Audit Commission amongst others.

Monica Wilson

Monica is a Customer Board Member and lives in Pendleton. Monica is a member of our Learning and Diversity Committee and is the Board Champion for Customer Access and Involvement. Monica is active in national tenant issues and is involved in the Tenants and Residents Associations of England (TAROE). As well as Chair of the Beech Court Tenants and Residents Association, Monica is also a member of the Pendleton Forum.

Mike Copple

Mike is a Customer Board Member and lives in Higher Broughton. Mike is Chair of the Learning and Diversity Committee. A former Borough and County Councillor, Mike is particularly interested in housing issues and the interests of older people. Mike is also the Chair of Broomedge Tenants and Residents Association.

Pamela Grimshaw

Pamela is a Customer Board Member and moved to Asten Fold in Salford four years ago. Pamela is a member of our Neighbourhood Committee and has a keen interest in social housing and service delivery. Pamela currently works within the housing sector as a repairs planner and is also studying towards the Institute of Leadership & Management qualification.

Phyllis Boardman

Phyllis is an Independent Board Member and works for Irwell Valley Housing Association, where she is Managing Director for Neighbourhoods and Supported Housing. Phyllis is Chair of our Neighbourhoods Committee and is the Board Champion for Neighbourhood Planning. Phyllis has almost 30 years experience of housing issues and previously worked for Wigan Council.

Bill Gill

Bill is an Independent Board Member and is a Director of an internal audit and consultancy company. Bill is Chair of our Audit and Finance Committee and is the Board Champion for Value for Money.  Bill has had many roles in housing over recent years and has previously worked for Deloitte's and Mitchell Charlesworth Chartered Accountants.

Peter Styche (OBE) - Chair

Peter is an Independent Board Member and is Chair of the Board. Peter is also a member of our Learning and Diversity Committee. Peter has considerable housing and regeneration experience and recently retired from the Government Office North West where he was Director of Spatial Planning and Housing. Peter is a member of the North West Housing Forum Executive.

Ade Alao

Ade is an Independent Board Member and works for ReBlackpool, Blackpool's Urban Regeneration Company as Deputy Director of Housing Regeneration. Ade is a member of our Performance Committee. As well as considerable regeneration experience, Ade has been a Chair of an ALMO in Greater Manchester, Northwards Housing.

Alan Clague

Alan is a Council nominated Board Member. Alan is a member of the Audit and Finance Committee and is a Councillor for the Ordsall Ward. Alan also Chairs the Council's Planning Panel.

Joe Murphy

Joe is a Council nominated Board Member. Joe is a member of the Performance Committee and is a Councillor for the Irwell Riverside Ward. Joe is also the Council's Lead Member for Service Development & Neighbourhoods.

Ann Marie Humphreys

Ann-Marie is a Council nominated Board Member. Ann-Marie is a member of the Audit and Finance Committee and is a Councillor for the Kersal Ward. Ann-Marie has a particular interest in children and young people's issues.

Janice Heywood

Janice is a Council nominated Board Member. Janice is a member of the Neighbourhoods Committee and is a Councillor for the Weaste & Seedley Ward. Janice is particularly interested in customer involvement and working with local tenants and residents groups.
