Salix Homes is committed to providing quality housing and services to our customers. Our aim is to respond quickly to your needs and work with you to maintain the highest standards possible and bring improvements where they are needed.

Our aim is to ensure our services are fair and equitable for all our customers. We want our services to be accessible and useful to everyone regardless of their age, disability, gender, race, national origin, sexual orientation or any other factors that may cause a disadvantage. We won’t tolerate any unfair or unlawful discrimination that provides a lower standard of service to any group or individual. We’ll take action against all forms of racial harassment and racial discrimination. We will also take action against any other forms of harassment and offer support to any of the victims of this harassment.

We’ll seek to ensure equality of opportunity in the recruitment, retention and development of staff whether from black or minority ethnic communities or any disadvantaged group.

If you’re having problems finding out about our services because your first language is not English, we’ll provide a translator for you. There are notices in our Communtiy Housing Offices explaining this in a number of languages. We can also offer translations of our main publications into other languages on request. If you are already receiving support from the Asylum Seekers Team, please contact them for assistance.

We’re also happy to provide our publications in other formats such as audiotape, Braille or large print as well as providing BSL qualified signers when you want to contact our offices. Please ask us for details or to make arrangements. We have published a lot of information on our website www.salixhomes.org and added our leaflets as documents so that you can print them from the website.
