The sun shines for the Salix Homes Spring Carnival

The Salix Homes annual Spring Carnival came to Broughton Fit City on 29 May 2009. As well as all the usual Spring Carnival fun, this year saw us celebrate and promote 'Health and Wellbeing'.

The event, opened by the Mayor of Salford, welcomed hundreds of people through the doors on what turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year so far! Along with a tasty free buffet and refreshments to quench the thirst, we also hosted a fabulous falcon display which gave kids and adults alike a chance to get up close to the large birds of prey.

All this was topped off by useful advice on healthy eating, exercise, stopping smoking and much more. Kids enjoyed planting seeds, stilt walking clowns, balloon modelling and face painting, just to name a few of the fun activities on offer!

It was a great opportunity for Salix Homes staff from across the organisation to get feedback from our customers and the wider community to help us improve our services and ofcourse to have the opportunity to put lots of smiles on lots of faces. A great time was had by all!
