Salix Homes Spring Carnival

The sun certainly shone down on the eagerly awaited Spring Carnival, which took place on Wednesday 14th May at Buile Hill Park. The event, open to all current and future Salix Homes customers provided an informal and fun-packed opportunity to find out what improvements have been made since our Autumn Festival, in October. We were extremely pleased that over 300 customers attended the drop in event. The Carnival, opened by the Mayor of Salford, was all encompassing, and included teams from our range of services. Customers also had the opportunity to meet some of our partners such as Jackson Lloyd, Bramalls, GJ Seddon and HT Forrest. One of the most common comments from the day was that customers enjoyed the opportunity to talk face-to-face to staff from all areas of the organisation.
In addition, our customers enjoyed live music, children’s entertainment, competitions and an array of refreshments. Local students from Pendleton College provided assistance with food and beauty therapy, as well as providing the winning logo for the carnival, created by Graphic Design student Jamie Molyneux. The colourful design appeared on promotional materials and our website in the run up to the event.
Many of you were extremely impressed with the event and comments included;
“The staff were all very helpful and friendly. It was a nice atmosphere, lovely food and I even had my face painted even though I am 60, I am a kid at heart”. - Norma Quincy
“There was nothing else that I personally required on the day. All that I needed to know was on hand; all of the stalls were very helpful”. - James Nightingale
“Staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was good and very good information. I totally enjoyed the afternoon”. - Janice Johnson
A big thank you to all of you who attended and helped to make the day a huge success…Roll on the Autumn Festival!!
