£35,000 up for grabs for Salix Homes' community projects

If you live on a Salix Homes estate or provide a service that benefits Salix Homes residents, and are one of the following:

  • an individual with a good idea 
  • a group of residents or leaseholders 
  • a voluntary or community group 
  • a Salix Homes residents group

You can apply to get funding from £250 - £5,000 for your idea.

So, what is it?

The ‘Your Salix, Your Say' fund is our participatory budgeting scheme which allows local communities to have a greater say in how public money is spent.

We have £35,000 set aside for groups and ideas like yours, which with your help will make Central Salford more than just a place to live! Together we can make a real difference!

How do I apply?

You or your group can make an application for funding from £250 to £5,000 for a worthwhile project in your community.

You can apply for funding for new and existing projects, from a community gardening project to a community choir...the sky's the limit!

Step 1. Think of an idea
Step 2. Send us the application form by 4:30pm, Friday 9 December 2012
Step 3. Applications are shortlisted
Step 4. The voting day will be held on Saturday 26 January 2013, when all applicants will present their bid and you can have your say and decide which ideas get the money.
